I need a clutch that will hold up better than stock. I've been looking at the centerforce:
DF395010 - Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch Kit
It says I will need to also replace the hydraulic cylinder. I don't know jack about replacing a clutch. I'm getting someone to help me. Will I need anything else? Is this a decent clutch? It will be going in a 2000 LS1 Z28.
I've had a bunch of recommendations on the Spec Stage III, but someone here said they were bad. Does anyone here have any experience with any of the Spec clutches?
Look into Luk Gold series. pedal pressure is just like stock of what ive heard. and it can handle a crap load of rwhp 450+
The SPEC Stage III claims a rating to 680 horsepower..
The LUK gold series is way too expensive.
EDIT: I'm seeing bad comments on the SPEC 3 clutch. I wonder if the stage I would be better for my application. Here is the description:
A Stage 1 clutch is a great upgrade from stock for street use and will hold 400 horsepower. Stage 1 clutches include a metal backed / organic faced disk.
