Default air pump. where can I get one?

I think I need to replace my secondary air injection system. I need a new air pump for my 98 vette. I can't seem to find it anywhere. And how much do you think this will cost me?
Help
Thanks

Why do you think that you need a new pump?? They are almost bullet proof! What are your indications or DTC codes?

Please let me know because i have just been through a bout of Air Injection System problems and cured them!

I have been conversing with DOC on PM and forgot to clue you all in on the solution and a little story!

I sold my 98 to one of my best friends. The car was running EXCELLENT at the time of deliverly! (You need to know that I was ready to burn the car 1 year earlier because of nasty electrical problems! ) Fixed that thank God!

A month or so after I sold it to him, he got a check engine light and DTC (PCM 1415 Air System Bank 1). He cleared it and it came back later on.

Two days later my 02 ZO6 gets the exact same code! My Z is still under warrenty so I leave the code in the DIC and call dealer for an appointment. After a few days of driving it the Check engine light goes out. The next day I get DTC PCM 0140 Air System which means that both banks malfunctioned!

Checked the fuses hoses, steel lines, fittings, flanges and the pump. Everything was/looked normal The pump would even come on and run.

Set up an appointment with dealer (I just installed headers) so you KNOW that they were going to try to say that it was the fault of the headers. They tried and more or less said "well it could be because of that aftermarket exhaust and the extre "BACK PRESSURE" that it causes!!!!
The service writer an I had a talk about the birds and bee's of headers and 3" exhaust systems! He knew that I wasnt going to fold!
Then he said well the check engine light isnt on and if it doesnt come back...... You get the Idea.

I asked him to have the tech run the Air Injection System through it's paces using the Tech II and see if the the car responded properly.

Guess what??? It ends up being both Air Check Valves that were sticking shut. They replaced both and ALL IS WELL! Under warrenty too!!!

Man you have to love it whan a plan comes together!

So,,,,,,,, if you get an air system DTC, it could be an issue with the check valves. They are easy to remove and examine. Could save you a few dollars.

Bill, don't you have to remove the intake to get to one of the check valves?

Wellllllll,,,,,,,,,,,,,, if you remove some stuff on top of the manifold it looks like you can get to it. The dealer did mine under warrenty and they didnt take the intake off as far as I can see.

I'de say that you do not have to remove the manifold.
