just got the headers in the mail.with only pre cat bungs, they take the rear o2 wires and but them on the front and sim the back or post cat sensors.do the sims keep the pcm happy or do you still get the trouble light on the dash.need to know before i buy sims as it's useless to but them on only to still have broken codes.???? any help thks.
Sims are about $100 and a tune is about $300 depending on where you get it done. In the end, the tune will cost you $200 if you don't buy the Sims and have the tuner remove them. This way, you get a correctly tuned car and no codes.

So after spending all of that money for LGs you still have to immediately invest in 02 sims or a tune right afterwards?
Well, technically you really don't want to run long tubes like that in a car like the Vette without a tune. You won't get full advantage of them unless you do.
What other mods are you planning in the next few months? If it's anything substantial then just wait until all that is done then get the tune. The car should run ok, except for the error light.
with my car,i had tpis headers with bassani X pipe and no cats.i have removed this system .sooo with no cats i think the rear sensors are turned off.i think??? so what i plan is to tape the rear hook-ups on the harness and forget about them.next i plan to take the front sensor wires and splice a piece of wire into them to make them long enough for the new LGM'S.i am hoping this will work and i can't see why it wouldn't.all i am doing is making that front sensor wires longer.i also hope i will be close on the tune as i am in a remote location.the car had headers allready. sooo am i out to lunch thinking these are plug & PLAY???? i will install cats in the system to help exhaust tone???? anyone find flaws in this little plan please let me know, thks much

What year is your car?
We supply the extension cord for the 2004 models. On earlier years, we supply an adapter wire which allows you to use your rear 02 sensors, which already have a long wire, as a front 02. The instructions should be in the box.
the 04 cars need to keep the front 02 sensor in the front position or it will set codes, so we supply the extension.
I will be working today so feel free to call me after 11am central time and I will help you with your issue.
If you have a code on an earlier car, then you might just have a bad sensor. At any rate, just call and ask for "Lou" and we can figure this out for you. Either way, you should not have to lengthen your own wires.
