i just bought a 2000 c5 6 speed with 37k miles. i want to start doing a few things to it, but don't know where to start. i already have the exhaust picked out, but don't know on the intake. i've looked at alot of people engine bay pics and see that alot of people have a dual filter set up with chrome piping. i've tried finding whatever system it is but have no no luck. any help is appreciated.

I have seen the system your talking about in the Mid-America Motorsports catalogue and in the RK Sports catalogue. This is a good looking choice but it seems like the true performance guys like the blackwing or the vara-ram.
I talked to a guy at team zr1 who highly reccomends blackwing. However,if you want dual cone setup go to ebay, put in "corvette intake",and there's a ton of them there for like 50-60 bucks! And,by the way, you'd be wanting the vararam vr-b2,it's the latest of what they have.THE LAPD HAS THEM,and TBYRNE also.DON'T buy yhat on ebay, those guys are cheaper!

I think this is what you are referring to? Another variation is the Volant system (go to the C5 Induction page and scroll down).
They are both good setups, but do yourself a favor and install a hood seal (about $12) at the same time, if you go with these (or any exposed element filter). It will help against the filter getting wet during rain or when washing.
i have researched all the intakes provided above and agree the vararam and blackwing are the best. i just wish i could get a dual filter setup with chrome piping that was as good as the blackwing and vararam
The Halltech Stinger-R represents the best bang for your buck, bar none. Take a look at what you get for the price and I think you'll agree. For the same price as the Blackwing, the Halltech Stinger-R adds a larger-than-stock airbridge and smooth throttlebody coupler. Add cold air and you've got 99% of Vararam performance at 75% of the cost.
