Default Ls2 engine

Would there be any problems installing a new ls2 motor in my 98?

I don't know the answer to your question but it is a good idea. I think I am going to wait until the 7.0L crate engine for the 06 Z06 comes out and see what they are going for. I am interested to see what some of the mechanics here on the forum have to say about this. I did see a thread about this once before and seems like there might have been some problems with the fit as far a mating with the drive train.

The LS1/6 fits into the C6 and runs off that pcm. The only difference in putting the LS2 in a C5 will be running the cam position sensor wire to the front of the motor where the timing chain cover is. Simple extension. The tuning will require the MAF, Timning, and fuel tables to be adjusted as a start.
