Changing out the rotors and "pring" a parking brake spring popped out. After much frustration, I made a tool to replace the parking brake spring. I used a cheap flat bald screw driver and made it into a spring tool. I can change or re-install the spring in about 10 sec. I will try to get a pic out if anyone wants it.

Picture, please. I have had to re-install the spring a couple of times and it is a PITA. Anything that will make it easier will be great.

I'm lucky I didn't "pop" the spring off when I replaced my rotors. I was pulling and tugging on the rotor and really pulling the shoes away from the backing plate. Mike Mercury came up with a great way of removing rear rotors using wood working clamps and a 2x4.

If you are sending the picture to individuals rather than posting..........please send me a picture.............Thanks
This brake shoe assembly/spring arrangement is a POS design by some engineer who was smoking something that is illegal, or they had a ten martini lunch.
Did you bend over spring retaining tabs on the backing plate first?
