Default While Installing the Ti's?

Does it make sense to do any other mods while I'm doing this? X pipe etc.. If it's minor while I have the cat-back out I would be interested. I don't want a loud system(had Borlas once and loved the sound but could't stand the resonance) that's why I bought the Ti's but would like to have more power if it's an easy gain while I'm there. Have my cake and eat it too!! Thanks.

I don't think there is a lot to be gained from an "X" pipe myself. I would look more towards a total system such as long tubes if you want a power boost.

Installation hint: Watch out for the two bolts that hold the muffler hangers in the rear, many have had the bolts slide up into the bumper. Remove them carefully and put a nut or something on them until you re-hang the mufflers to make sure you don't accidentally move them up and out of site.

Long tubes and High Flow Cats with an X pipe and it will sound great.

With long tubes, high flow cats and X pipe what will I gain at the wheels? How loud will it be and how resonant? What kind of cash will it take?

if your C5 had the pre-cats - you could remove the factory H pipe and gut them. Somewhat easier to do - already having car up in the air and your tools out.

But your C5 didn't have them that year.

While everything is apart, I would install one of the tunnel plates (ABBS of steal) and while the tunnel plate is off I would install a remote clutch bleeder. If you really want power, get a set of Long Tube headers!

Tunnel plate was a great mod I did when I installed my QTP's. I installed my QTP headers and the tuner kept the final tune very conservative and on a level that comes from the factory. I didn't want to lean the car out just to impress people with high dyno numbers. I got right about 25 HP with the QTP setup. Be cautious of dyno posts without an AFR plot, it is very easy to post bigger numbers by leaning the car out on the dyno.
