Default H.P. gains from headers

I was wondering what experiences people had with different headers, did you feel any noticible power gains. I have an 02 with borla stingers, vararam, 6 spd, 3.42, with stock tune. Would i benefit a noticible amount. also i was looking at the TPIS headers just because of the decent price. Any info would be great, also other ideas for mods in the same price range, without opening up the engine. thanks

I have QTP headers, and a very conservative tune. I picked up 25 HP at the wheels. It is definitely a noticable improvement. Blipping the throttle at 10 mph brings in an instant Traction Control Active message on the DIC

Careful of wild HP claims, as the numbers can be tweaked about 10 HP on the dyno with the AFR by leaning the car out.

Kooks and LGs seem to be most popular...expect about 25-30rwhp increase with tune...Kooks probably just a few $ more than TPIS.

I've got TPIS headers. I'm not exactly sure how much horsepower I gained with just them. I do know that I definitely felt a power increase. You can see my sig for total power output with the list of mods I have. The headers definitely contributed a major portion of the increase. The TPIS headers fit well and I've had absolutely no problems with them. I do recommend them for people looking for a moderately priced set of headers.

You should have no problems picking up around 25 rwhp with any of the popular LT setups (Dynatech, Kooks, LG, etc).

thanks for the info guys. I would guess with headers I should be able to push numbers similar to Mark VerMurlen, which looks pretty good to me.

You have pretty much the same set-up as I.
After installing the Kook's my numbers without a tune were 335hp/343tq. I do not have a baseline.
