Bulletins for 2002
Hi. I am having some trouble with I think my computor. I am getting false fuel readings and false speed readings. I have had the computor checked at the dealer 2 times about the fuel readings and both times I have been told that all is well even though there are service bulletins on this. Now my speedo is giving false readings. I got a ticket the other day for going way to fast. I couldn't understand how I had sped up 40 mph more than the last time that I had glanced at my speed, but the cop said I was doing 77 in a 45 mph zone. Like I said, I was shocked, but I had not looked at my speed and could not argue with him. The last time I had looked at my speed it read 39 mph. Anyway this morning I KNOW I was going about 20 mph and my speedo read 53 mph. So I guess my speedo is reading incorrectly also. Are any of you aware of anything like this? I am going back to the dealer again, but since nothing has been detected before, I am leary. I also can't afford to not know how fast/slow I am going either.

Fuel level guage problems are covered under a Technical service bulliten. The service manager should be able to show you a copy. if you can show the service manager the problem that you are having, they should be able to fix it or at least document that the problem exists but they were unable to correct it.
