I'd be asking the shop if they used an impact gun to install the bellhousing bolts. The bellhousing has large dowels that should distribute the forces from the drivetrain evenly. It looks like installer error to me...

I really hope so , or this is going to become more frequent, I've only seen bellhousings look like this after vehicle has been involved in accident. 500 passes on ET streets could be detrimental though. There is alot of movement in drivetrain when launching or loading car heavily, I wonder if better driveline mountings may prevent this????

Thanks for the tip. My bell housing has been off several times now and we haven't noticed any problems, but I'll definitely add this to the list of things to look at more carefully. Glad to see you caught it before major damage occurred.
