I am curious to see just what percentage of forum users will actually modify the performance (Horsepower / Torque etc.) of their cars vs. appearance / aesthetic modifications, or no modifications at all.

A few cosmetic mods, SS inserts, painted 44 LED tailight. painted door handles, tint rear window, paint XM wart and Corsa Sports for the sound. No plans for under the hood now or probably ever.
No mods for me this time around. I have enough power that getting traction is already an issue. More power would mean more gently feathering the gas pedal and I like to mash it. Without tires that can handle more horses it becomes somewhat a diminishing return--you have more potential but have to be ever so careful as to the application.
When you modify a Corvette you are taking most buyers out of the market. Take a look at some of the modded C5's that stay at the top of the list with ttt's...nobody wants this stuff on the secondary market.
If you want to do it that's fine, but at least know that the roll bar, tubbed rear, billet wings and SS door sills won't attract many buyers. Also, contrary to some opinions, you can't hope to get much money back.
These cars are driven hard enough, but would you really buy a car that was beat to death or looks like a circus wagon?
I have no plans for engine mod, but I would like to change the exhaust at one point. But as for show.. I am converting my C6 Coupe to a hardtop Vert...
Stock is good, modified is far better. While I can understand why some would choose to keep their Vettes stock, our 00 coupe really came to life when we added a new cold air intake, coupler, and mass airflow sensor. Plus the sound of a free flowing exhaust is tough to argue against....
Once the after market vendors (I.E., Vette Essentials) provide interior options, I be the first in line (at least with VE the interior will be good, high grade leather).
