It has been reported through various vehicle enthusiast websites and forums that GM (General Motors Corp) has re-registered their trademark Camaro, Firebird, and Z28 (not Z/28).

It would appear so! But again, I myself just don't know exactly what must be done to 'stake yer claim' to a given trademark, so...
