Anyone have any experience with Colgan front masks/bras? I thought about the Speed Lingerie but it won't meet my needs.

Yes I have the Colgan Carbon Fiber look and the mirror covers to match from Mid America. I love it and have had no problems what so ever. Run it on every long trip.

Stick with the GM bra. It fits better and is worth the few extra dollars.

I have the Colgan and also saw the GM , IMO the Colgan fits tighter and looks better for only $20 more

They run about $400 plus I believe. I tried to get one in Monterey Red but they are not available as yet. Will consider the Colgan Carbon Fiber as pictured. Not sure on cost.

The black Colgan is super quality and a bargain at $110 shipped. It can be had without or without the front license plate opening and with or without the front C6 emblem window. I got the solid black bra and mirror covers for my Machine Silver coupe.

I bought a Colgan bra on ebay for about $100. I recently drove 1100 miles to Las Vegas, and back, and it did just fine. Exceeded the speed limit a few times - no problem. It fits snugly. I just removed it, and it was clean underneath.

Why won't it meet your needs? In my case I was deciding between the colgan and speed lingerie, but opted for the speed lingerie. I got it today with mirror covers and it looks and feels great, not cheap but worth it.

Hope you have a better experience with the folks at Speed Lingerie than I did if you ever need them to honor their "Lifetime warranty".....they suck! Colgan lot less $ and better quality....IMHO

I had the Speed Lingerie bra for my Prowler. It never fit correctly and it was a bear to install. Colgan is by far the best and I believe they have a 5 year warranty.

How do you attach this bra to the car? Is it labor intensive? I've seen some that clip on, and others that require you to remove screws from the wheel wells. I would really appreciate your input on this. I looked on their web site, but didn't see any reference to how they attach to the car. Thanks a million.

I have the machine silver version of the Colgan bra and couldn't be more pleased with the color match, fit, quality, and ease of installation. For comparison, I had a Speed Lingere on my C5. It is also a good product but the finish is almost dull compared to the Colgan and it is much more difficult to install. The ease of installation is one of the primary reasons that I choose the Colgan for the C6. I do not leave the bra on all the time but it is taken on and off frequently for trips and "Love Bug" season (Floridians know what those little buggers do to your paint).

I guess if you have used the warranty on the Speed Lingerie bra "several" times then I would probably question the quality a bit, but that's just me! Let me lay this little tidbit on you.......they kept my credit card info ON FILE without my knowledge and then when I sent the bra in a year later to have the thing re-stitched where it came apart at the seams, they took it upon themselves to "up-grade" it (new method of attaching to the car) without my authorization and charged me $75.00. Kept promising to refund my $ but never did. I stand by my original statement......THEY SUCK!!

We all have our opinions and experiences. I have used there product since 1998 and have been treated very well when ever I have had an issue. I will always give them a good reference.

I'm planning on purchasing a bra for the Corvette that I recently ordered, but I've also heard that they are bad for the car. Assuming that I take it off the car when it rains and I do not allow moisture to sit under the bra, are there any other real issues such as fading, etc.? I’m trying to avoid getting stone chips and I really do not want to spend the money to have the clear film put on the front of the car if I can avoid it.
