I have a nearly $4000 order in with Fred Beans that I placed yesterday. I'll post how it goes. So far so good.

I ordered the Beans Z06 spoiler. It was plastic and you could see where the joints were in the black. I told them about it and returned it. If they charge me the 20% restock I'll post it.

I ordered Z51 Stabilizer Bars and Z06 Red Brake Calipers from them. No problem for me because those items were in stock. Excellent service.

Gene has always e-mailed me to let me know when stuff goes backorder or will be delayed. No problems here. Contact Gene and find out what's going on.

Why would you start this thread on a Sunday morning, pretty much knowing there's a good chance the vendor isn't monitoring either email or the Forum today? Are you just looking to sandbag somebody who may not be able to respond until this thread has gone through 30 or 40 conclusion jumpers?

I think charging a card when you place the order doesn't make for bad business practice. I know some vendors don't charge until they ship, or at least until the goods are in and ready to ship, and that's ok, too, but you can't fault a vendor because they want to be sure the money is there -- accounts get closed, cards get pulled, maxed out, etc.

Just wondering.

I was concerned also when I ordered my Machine Silver spoiler. I also had trouble getting a few email questions answered. The spoiler, however, came Friday. Took about a week. I got my emails answered today (yes, on Sunday). Gene must just be busy.

The spoiler is great. Beans is okay!

Fred Bean's has always been reputable in my dealings with them. If you've had a problem with a particular order, contact Gene Sculley...he's the Part Manager & will set things right.

It's a GM spoiler. If it was defective, I'm sure they will make it right. Mine was perfect. I've ordered from them several times and always great service.

I have really bad service and then really good service out of them. I think that they might be doing more business than they can handle properly. However, they do in fact have the best prices so most of the time I will put up with the chance that it doesn't go perfectly. What I mean by that is any problems were overshights that you get from companies who have bit off more than they could chew. Never something that was a deliberate attempt to cheat me in any way.

For top of the line service, Fichtner Chevrolet has always been 100%. They do what they say they are going to do and are more than willing to go the extra mile. Prices aren't as good as Fred Beans but they aren't too aweful bad. I kinda split up my business between the two of them.

I got some UPF44 filters from Gene...they came right away at the price advertised.

Have you given Gene a call to discuss your problem?

Hi there,
This is a rather interesting post. First, we never told you too bad that's how we do business. I would stand in front of you in person and say so. What we told you is that all of the items that you had ordered were ship direct and come directly from the manufacturer. Any GM dealer will tell you that ship direct items are a nightmare.

We run into problems with this because we sell more of these items that we can keep in stock. Then it becomes a waiting game from the manufacturer. Parts like this that don't come from GM can be nightmare for us.

Since the phone call you said you've had with us, I have had no contact from you. I checked my email at work, on Sunday, and there was a message from one of the management staff for our company who forwarded your email to me. I replied and told you that I'd look into it and I did take care of it today, without knowing this post was here.

I don't mind taking a beating when it's due, but I was personally never presented with trying to take care of you. My contact information is all over the board here including every one of my posts. I was not contacted.

As far as the one gentlemen said about having more business or whatever than we can handle. I posted something about this first in August and then December again.

We are building two dealerships about 100 feet from our facility. I've been helping the Nissan store out with some issues, as is my whole department and we've taken Saturn on at the same time.

At the same time during all of this, without giving numbers, our internet business increased about 300 to 400% from the forum.

We were and are to capacity. In the middle of looking to add people to my staff, Mr. Beans has presented me with an opportunity.

I have not announced this yet, but apparently I am, here. In order to better satisfy our internet customers and to give our utmost attention to those customers I have been promoted to Director of internet part sales for the company.

Within the next 30-60 days I will be starting my own department/business and it will be concentrated on you! I will also bring Jeremy along to start this business, which many of you know and have dealt with.

We will also offer any manufacturer of part that Fred Beans owns.

Thanks for your support.
Gene.
