Default Navigation Question

Hi guys
If I purchase a C6 without the nav - is it possible to install the stock nav? Will it work? does it require alot of work and the ripping apart of the cons?
What would it cost?

Just buy the option and save yourself a whole bunch of hassels....If you can afford the car, equip it the way you want.

It will not work...different wiring harness installed in BG...only other option would be aftermarket and then it is not integrated into the HUD...

My advice is to get the factory nav when the car is built or go aftermarket...

Get the car with the equipment you want. I have the nav system and love it.

Sure it is possible. It will work. It will require a lot of work and ripping apart the console, dash, and instrument cluster to replace the wiring harness and install the GPS antenna in the dash. It will also require dealer assistance to "marry" the new radio to the BCM, ie to avoid the new radio going into anti-theft mode. But it is possible, probably won't cost much more than $4,000 unless you let the dealer do the whole job, then it could get expensive.

I'd go with an aftermarket unit rather than try to implant the stock system. You would be without the Headsup display but end up with a better nav and stereo.
