Default 2007 Differences?

Has there been any mention of there being any differences in the 2007 model as opposed to the 2006s? Thanks!

I read here that 2007s are going to start being built in June. I don't know the history here (when did they start building 2006s?) but that sounds kind of early in the year to my uneducated ear.

Anybody want to speculate that this "early start" (if I'm right about that) implies anything about the level of or type of changes for 2007?

The only thing I know of is the drop of DSOM color and the addition of a new color to be determined.

Hope this helps!

The last week of June is the normal start-up of the next model year. Some information about the 2007 models will be made known at the C5/C6 Birthday Bash next month.

Could be a reduction of 50 hp for 07. But then again maybe not.

No, the first week of September. The 2005 model year got an extended build. The normal end of a model year was the last week of June.

GM said the 2005 build was extended because of the slow start when the C6 was first introduced and they wanted people to be able to get a 2005. I think everyone would have been happier with a 2006 model so the real reason, IMHO, was that the 6 speed automatic was not ready for production in June.

I think production of 05's stopped on September the 8th and 06's started on September the 9th.

They eliminated the retractable headlights and that move has been well received on the C6.

For 2007, they may remove one of the front wheels and re-name the car the Trivette. But then again maybe not.

On-Star will be standard, whether you want it or not, and the base price will go up to accomodate it. Or maybe not.

Option packages will be renamed yet again:

1LT = CHEAPSKATE

2LT = Wishy-washy

3LT = Rich sucker

. . . or maybe not . . .
