Glad I got my 06, I like a clean wheel. Different strokes for different folks. One major reason Im really glad I got a 2006, the Mrs has 1,000 reasons why I should of waited for my Vette, #1 0f 1,000, get out of debt. She right but I have a Corvette sickness and there's still know cure...

This is a good list of upgrades. I think GM got it right.

I really like the idea of the integrated key. Hopefully those of us with 05's and 06's can upgrade.

They still really need to work on fixing the rear decklid in the verts so you don't need to stand on it to get it to fully close. I think this is the only major design flaw in the whole car and can't believe it has not been addressed.

Z06 427 Hood badges - what will they think of next

Sometimes OLD is NEW. But I sure all the 06 Z's will start sporting these the minute Fichtner/Beans has a P/N.

Yes, even Scions have radio controls on the wheel, and I'm enjoying it. Heck, even my '97 Firebird had radio controls on the wheel. It is not new technology to GM. They decided not to do it on vettes until now. If the rumor mills are true, Dave Hill was completely against radio controls on the wheel, and that is why they are becoming available only after he is passing on the torch to the next guy. I'd say leave the steering wheel radio controls an options. Some people like them, and some people don't.

BSMs only available as aftermarket GCA pieces? There has to be some reason for it. Maybe it reduces the aerodynamics just enough that it becomes a CAFE issue, but if it is aftermarket, they don't have to worry about it.

saw this yestersday on conti's site - he was right on it. There is even a GM catalog pic of the atomic orange

I can't wait to see the seats - concerned about steering wheel audio controls - hope they don't get in the way while turning. I'm also going to the bash to see the changes in person in a couple weeks. see ya there!

So there's nothing new to the vette in 07. A different key-maybe and a bigger glove box. Wow. That's unbelievable.

Everything else is package enhancements/changes (which will probably cost more too!)...as I'm assuming the two tone seats are again in the 2 and 3lt packages only. Why this stuff isn't standard, I'll never know...I'm surprised they dont charge extra for the two tone interior...oh wait they do you have to get a 2lt package to be able to choose something other than black.

This is GM's top-o-the-line right? Wierd. Sorry to be so negative...on the positive side...the new ORANGE IS AWESOME!!!!!

Default Most useless Corvette Option, ever. IMHO!

Body Side Mouldings? This is a joke, right? Side panels will still be plastic won't they? Wait, C5 had these to ruin the clean look also! Could Chevy be going to an all Fe/Al Corvette? Maybe a giant Z-51 badge would be better!

Yeah, I know... For GM it's like -- all cars come with a right turning stearing wheel standard...you have to buy the $5,000 Driver-Enthusiast Package to get one that turns left too!

Totally agree! Iam maybe to the other extreme, What options were really imporatnet is what I orderd, Convertible (auotmatically makes it an LT2) Z51, mont. prem. paint, thats it. My wife thought the power top was cool in it's process. The saleman that has been there 20+ years actully talked us out of it. He put the top up and down in half the time. Motors, seals, hydrallics. Ah, what the hell is 10 seconds. The only thing that I really like is the 2-tone leather seats, but it shows only cashmere and black. That would look AWESOME on a black ext. IMO, but too busy, and less class on a red ext. IMO. In a strange way, I am glad the 07 mods are insignificant, does not make me regret pullin the trigger

I did not want the $2,000.00 Power top but the Mrs just had major back surgery so I got for her. Its slower than me, like I said it was for the little women it makes it a lot easyer on her. My 2cents is save the $$$ unless you have a certain reason like me to have to get it...
