My wife has the JUNK on the wheel in her car, I hate it. Everytime I drive it I change everything as I turn the wheel

I'm still dying to know if the two-tone-embroidered seats are standard. Or if they're only on the upgraded 2lt or 3lt packs.

Isn't this a sports car? Shouldn't it come with Sport seats? Talk about the signs of a company being deep in penny-pinching mode--when they sell you their top-of-the-line sports car machine, and make you UPGRADE to the sport car seats. I can live without them, especially out of principle, it's just demeaning to me and I would assume to the GM brand.

I would think upgraded seats in this class of vehicle, would include some fancy imported italian leather -- heated and cooled, perhaps. I guess I should give'em a little credit for not making the standard be vinyl or cloth...

Oh well, we don't know yet with the 07. But I just think it's stupid to make On-star standard -- Sport seats, or nicer seats, NOT.

Edit -- Onstar on a sports car? I can't let this die...to me Onstar is synonymous with senior citizens, maybe cause it reminds me of Cadillacs or something. Onstar standard on the Corvette, sport seats not...man. Wierd. This is obviously not logical but more contractual. Onstars, not cheap man...so this is a real gripe.

HEY GM, GIVE US MORE POWER, SO WE CAN BE EXCLUSIVE!!!
I think that's what the Z06 is for.

Speak for yourself. It isn't a luxury car, and you can get it for $52k if you don't load up on options. Which is the point, not WANTING the forced options which jack up the price.

The integrated key sounds like a great idea....why didn't I think of that?

You guys forgot one new option....

For the seats there will be an option for leopard felt interior which comes with matching felt dice.

This is part of the 3LT package and should knock yet another 2,000 on the price.

Wrong! A 1991 Camaro RS or Z28 cost an extra $5,000 for a manual top; there was no power top. Furthermore, the convertible was not made in the factory. The factory only added larger tires and a few other minor items for those ordered as a convertible. It was produced as a coupe and then shipped to ASC for the conversion. The only power gizmo it had was a trunk lid gizmo -- lower the trunk lid and the gizmo grabbed it, pulled it down the remaining fraction of an inch and locked it.

Think will go ahead and take the 06. One of my gripes have been no
audio controls on the wheel. But when really think about it
maybe no big deal. My f150 has them and find use the dash
buttons just as much. LOL I dont listen to that much music
anyway and will put the corsa on so wont even heard the
radio

Am I missing something here???? Isn't the key to let you in the car when you leave the FOB INSIDE the car???? So now both the FOB and key will be in the car

They still really need to work on fixing the rear decklid in the verts so you don't need to stand on it to get it to fully close. I think this is the only major design flaw in the whole car and can't believe it has not been addressed.

I have an '05 Vert and the trunk lid closes easily, maybe you have a problem with your car or am I missing something

Great Point....except that I think that most of us have the FOB, and the Key on the same ring. Anyone?

My question would be: Does the ignition on the 07 come with an option to insert the key like the Benz? If that's the case, it's a great option. We can turn on the accessories when the battery is dead and start the car. If not, I think the integrated key is useless.

This makes my decision. I was thinking about an 06 because I wanted DSOM, but I'd rather have some of the features for 07. I'll want to see the twotone interior, but Atomic Orange looks like the bomb and the new goodies will be nice.

Adding wheel mounted radio controls has been far too long in coming. One thing I never agreed with Dave Hill's stance on. Some of us use our cars for touring and it's a nice touch. The 2 minutes you're on the autox track or the 13 seconds on the dragstrip, you aren't worried about the radio anyway.
