My first drive was out of the parking lot to take it home. Turned out to be the best car decision in my life.

sure did. I'd driven a c5, currently own a c4. I figured they had to be improved some and therefore would be Great. Also, read on the forum here for quite a while. Also, bought MR without seeing it based on the color chip at the dealer and the comments on the forum. More than happy with our new C6.

My dealer even offered to take it off of the showroon floor so I could take it for a test drive. I said no need I know I want it , the wife knows she wants it so lets do the paperwork. Even crazier I owned a C-5 for over a year and never did drive it except to load it onto the trailer of the guy that bought it from me.

Yep. Purchased mine from out of state. A dealer in Michigan was the only dealer a year ago who would honor my expiring GM Supplier Discount.
Having owned 2 C4's and 3 C5's, I knew there was no chance I'd like the C6 any less!

Anyone who owned a C5 really didn't need to drive one. The C6 is so similar, but with the obvious upgrades that it was a no-brainer. My first drive was the day I took delivery (I did sit in them first). In fact, I placed my "order" six months before they came out.

I did it backwards. Bought, then drove. Owning a C3, I knew they were 2 totally different cars. Drove a friends 03, C-5 for about an hour sometime ago. Really liked it. After alot of reading, etc. I fell in love with the C6. Having restored 3 other vettes in the past, I just wanted a brand new (exactly what I wanted so I ordered) vette. A life-long dream, I am 40. I bought the car, did the deposit and paperwork. The next day, My wife said "you didn't even drive it?" I called the next morning and said hey, I bought the car yesturday, can I test drive it today? No problem... Took it out for 10 minutes, and I have been savoring that feeling ever since. It just CONFIRMED my descession, so I am glad I did it.
