Definitely a fact. I have a neighbor whose friend has a cousin, whose boss has a neighbor, whose daughter is dating a guy whose barber has a sister and she knows somebody who used to work for GM............ And they say that its definitely true.
That settles it for me. I heard almost the same thing from my cousin's, uncle's, sister's, roomate's, talking dog. Rex said that it was also going to be the debut of the 7-speed F1 transmission as well.

It's obvious that you have nailed it. You have the "six degrees of separation". Count me in

That is what I love about this forum. Someone ALWAYS has the inside track on FACTS. Obviously if they used to work for GM and the information comes from a barber's sister I think we can definitely consider this no longer a rumor and now fact. When I used to work in the intelligence field this is EXACTLY the type of solid information we used to confirm a source. The Barber's sister ALWAYS knows.
Before I get too excited was the sister a step sister or a full on full blooded sister? And were the parents divorced or married more than 17.6 years and did they sleep in separate beds?
Please post the information as soon as possible I cannot remove my foil hat until this is confirmed.

It would be kindof silly to continue using an LS6/2 casting head on their premere sports car when the new L92 head is a much better piece from the factory (and on trucks none the less). All it would take is a new intake manifold design from the general. I wondered why they did not do it this model year. I would guess L92 heads would be worth a good 30-40RWHP over stock LS6/2 heads, an aluminum 6.2L block is also in the parts bin now .

I don't know why everyone fears displacement on demand so much, there is certainly nothing wrong with having 425 horsepower and getting 35-40MPG on the highway!
And, you know with only OHV design in the LS2 that GM is penny pinching.
Umm, no. You may want to read up on C5/C6 information, where you will see the reason OHV was retained in LS-series engines, is because it produces the lightest and most compact engine in it's power class. The others are not even close. It's a very clever and hi-tech solution to a tough problem.

I have a friend who owns a Magnum Hemi. It has the DOD system and he says you can't tell it by driving the car. He's a car guy so he would know if it was noticable. Of course it still doesn't get as good of mileage as my stock C6 with the A4 and optional 3.15 rear.
But is the styling still going to be basically the same for 2008?
I would imagine they would wait for the C7 to change the styling. It would alienate other C6 owners if they changed the styling on the 08 and still called it a C6
