Ok, I stored my C6 2 months ago and my battery went dead, so I can't get in the car. I look in my manual where it says to open the trunk with the key right over the licences plate. The problem is that there is no key entry thier !!!!! All I have is a round rubber thing. So I thought maybe I have to remove it and the key entry is under, but when I remove it there's seems to be a button which does nothing.
the button is the hatch release... the keyhole is to the left of it, there is a break in the fiberglass and the keyhole is up a bit, hard to see but get down low and look up...

Yep. The button does nothing because the battery power is gone. After you put the key in the keyhole, turn the key clockwise in the lock.
After you open the hatch with the key, look for a plastic pull-tab on the end of a cable sticking out of the carpet on the left sidewall as you're looking toward the front of the car. Pulling that tab will unlock the driver's door.
look like the dealerships agian dropped the ball. when you buy the car. dealerships are suppose to do a predeliver walk around to familiarize you with your new car. sounds like the tossed you your keys and manuel the moment you walked out of finance, and drop kicked you out the door

I think it would be a rare dealer indeed that went over the emergency key with the customer.
And even rarer to MAKE SURE IT WORKS beforehand!

Our delivery guy spent 5 minutes looking for the spare and the jack. Then couldn't find the button to open the tonneau cover to store the top. Of course, it is an electric top. Finally said 'enjoy the car, most all the stuff you need is in the book'. Is the book in the glove compartment? 'I t;hink so!' See ya'
Should i plug the battery tender through the lighter plug or should i get one that u plug directly on the battery. Also if it's directly on the battery should i unplug the black connection

The owners manual is your best friend. The owners DVD is pretty good also.

Clip the Battery Tender onto your battery. Plug it into a 110v outlet. No need to disconnect the negative battery cable. It will maintain your battery forever (or close to it). Kept my C6 O.K. for over five months.

Good Luck.
Mine is mounted right to the car. Just connect it to the battery and plug it in to an ext. cord and you're good to go..er, stay. You have to remember to disconnect before you go.

My dealer went through a very detailed walkthrough with me, and the whole time I kept thinking, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Will you just shut up so I can go drive this thing!" I was sooooo anxious to get in it & go cruising that I didn't hear a word they said. I just nodded my head staring at my car, "yeah, uhuh, ok, yeah, I see"

ala Guiness commercial:
Remembering to disconnect before you go... BRILLIANT!

And rarer yet if they even knew about the key.
I have seen new car sales people that did not even know about the inside emeregency door release. Know one ever reads the manuals and that goes for dealership sales staff also.

that is the one thing that i am sure to go over with all my customers. that and also where the door release is in case they are in the car and loose power!
