I never saw it coming! I let my DAD drive my vette
I took mine over to my 70 yr old dad.
to make a long story short....... he went through the gears (6mn), scared both of us, then he SLAMS on the brakes. we stopped fast! he just turned his head, smirked and simply said "pay backs a b_tch! ain't it" i laughed til i cried. but I drove back to dads house!! priceless.
1 month later he shows up in his brand new ruby red 2007 mustang! automatic and wouldn't let me take it for a spin! LOL he said it was only 30 minutes old and he wanted to enjoy it as long as posible b4 i wrecked it! he gave me another smirk and left in a cloud of smoke. gotta love it!

Vette76....I'm glad your Dad got to drive your car....he sounds like a pretty cool guy.
(I lost my Dad a few years ago....I only wish he were still around to drive my car).

The best part of the car is enjoying it with someone else. I invited my parents along for my museum pick up. They let my mom drive one offline and she loved it.
After the breakin period, I let my dad drive mine as part of his 65th birthday present. I told him to drive as hard as he wanted. He certainly did trying to chirp tires in the first 3 gears. He smiled and said it made him feel like he was 20 again. We had a great day and I told him he could drive it anytime he wanted (until the warranty is up).
My parents had a 1964 and a 1981...still kicking themselves for selling the 1964, but it may not be long before they get a C6...
