Mutual Respect
Hey Vetteheads, been gone for awhile, was enjoying being with my wife for a couple weeks, on her vacation from Iraq, shes gone back, but only a few months left for her, I now know how she felt when I was over there in 2003. Well anyway today was a awesome 85 degree day in Hawaii, of course had to go on a cruise. Noticed something, everytime I saw a vette, C5 or C6 I was like damn thats nice, forgetting I was in one myself, until I would see them looking at mine like damn thats nice. Like I said mutual respect.
Hopefully while you were enjoying the time with your wife, you were both in the Vette. In Jan on one of my trips home from Afghanistan i got my vette. I made sure that my fiance and i spent plenty of time together, but i also made sure that we took plenty of cruises, and spent plenty of time in my vette.
God bless, and i'll pray for her safe return.
I was cruising around the Tulsa area today and had a black C6 just like mine pull up behind me on the freeway. Dang that car (and my car) look awesome!!! I had a hard time watching for what was in front of me because I had to keep looking in the rear view to admire that C6 - I could not help but think how cool it is that others see that beautiful car when I am in their rear view mirror...it's all good!!

I feel the same way too whenever I see other people drive Corvette. When i passed my office parking lot with big windows today and saw the reflection of me driving the Corvette, i cannot help but stopped right in front of it and check out the reflection. I was like wow, nice car, but wait I forgot, I am the one who is driving..
All things considered, spending time with your wife in Hawaii isn't too bad. Sorry she's heading back but fortunately it's short-time. I wish her (and all our Troops) a safe and speedy return home.
I too notice and admire other Vettes and whenever possible...I wave. To come-across an identical Corvette to your own is even all the more special. With the violent, relentless winds here in Tucson the past several days, I spent time over the weekend washing, waxing and detailing my own car....damn those C6's look nice! (it almost breaks my heart I have to drive it down a short stretch of dirt road).
