Last night a BMW bulled up next to me, stepped on his gas hard after the light turns green, cut me off right in front of me, I just let him do his show off for his hot girl inside his BMW. It's not even a challenge with BMW 330i, I know my Vette can easily take him out. End of the story. Life is too short to do stupid things like that, it's not worth it.
Sorry but I'd need to lay the smackdown on that puny compact. Even if it was just a little jump to let him know that this fight was Mike Tyson vs. Barney Fife...
Barney, here's your ****...

Yes, you will get quite-a-few 'challenges' when driving your Corvette...this is a constant. The only variable is how you choose to react on any given day and circumstance.

I had a guy in a stealth follow me about 10 miles down a highway, staying on my tail. I was doing about 4 over and passing the now and then car in the right lane when I desided to pull off in to a starbucks. He pulls in and gets out in which i see it is now a father and son, and comes over to say "My sons favorite car is the Corvette, do you mind if he gets a closer look"
Not everyone that sticks to you is looking for a race alot I have found to just slow down and look, some wave and give a thumbs up.
True enough. I had a pickup truck hot on my tail one night. This went on long enough I was starting to get a little PO'd. When the road opened-up to 2 lanes the guy pulls alongside me and rolls-down his window....he shouts "nice car."
I LOVE THIS= on the freeway or at a stop sign, when some one challenges me I hold up three fingers as a count down and on three they burn out and some times nearly lose it ,while I slow down or don't take off. Then later if I see him I give him the look of WOW your fast. That makes their day and give me a laugh!
I get it in all my cars. The vette is the real magnet, although my M3 gets just as many challenges.
The funny one is my station wagon. It's a 540i but supercharged and has a discrete badge on the back. I guess most people think I'm a poser and it couldn't be supercharged.
As soon as our move is over I'll take it to the track. I can just imagine lining up next to a pimped out rice rocket. In my station wagon.
And pulling around a 13.5 quarter on him.
It will be worth all the mods just to watch him have to go back to his friends and explain getting stomped by a station wagon
Snow is starting to go and the roads are good so took the vette for a spin. Going down a 3 lane fwy. in the middle lane doing about 6 mph over the posted limit. Moron in a rice rocket catches up to me and tailgates me for about 2 miles. Other 2 lanes are pretty much empty.
Finally gives up and blows past me, almost loses it on the exit ramp.
Is this pretty much what you can expect when driving the vett?

A long time ago I learned that if someone knows you're carrying a gun, you rarely have to take it out...
At least you seem to be having younger folks play games with you. Me on the other hand, being just a tad older, I had an old man in an old pickup truck make his move on me as the highway narrowed from two lanes to two.
Perhaps he could see me as I did sit lower than his truck. He did pass me though, so I hope he saw me.
I was passing this beat up, pos Ford pickup on a rural road in NC one day a few years ago with my 2000 T/A. He drops it down into 2nd (I'd guess) and tries to race me. After I pulled into the right lane again, I saw the black smoke. Any other time, I would have stopped. This time I laughed.
A Moron in a late-model screaming lime greem Hemi Charger tailgates me today for 10 minutes. Finally screams around me and flips me off in the process.
My car has 110 (yes 110) miles on it. I was not exactly in the mood to race!!
