I thought that you traded that in for a Z06 a while back?

Your CAMEL pic threads are to unusual to forget.

Yeah...the same new little things you'll find in '06's, '07's and most likely '08's when they come out. Why would you want to "keep looking"? How about looking for some of the positive stuff about the '05's and what a great car they are? Some newby posted recently about the fact that he was afraid to buy an '05 after reading this forum....IMO this is totally misleading. Sometimes the negativity is overwhelming and we encourage people to "keep looking" for stuff to be wrong Keep looking long enough and you'll find it; or a least think you found it (i.e. the DBS issue) To "keep looking" is not any fun, and I'm not going to do it, and I bet I'm going to have fewer problems with my car than you are, and and I bet I'm going to have more fun than you will

No...we're not. Some of us have never been to a dealer because we are too busy driving...just can't stop, and nothing has gone wrong to make us stop.

The only problem I've had with my start button stranded me:

Which required a tow

But no cracks. Seems like a simple replacement is in order. I wouldn't wait for it to crack completely and strand you.

Wow, twice? I've got a early build '05 with 13,000 on the clock and no such issues. Sorry you are dealing with a repeated problem.

I did a search and this was one of the newest threads i could find. I have an 05 C6 with 7500 miles on it and my starter switch has cracked.

I do not have a warranty and I really don't want to take it to a dealer.
Can anyone here tell me how to swap out the push button start?

I just got a used 05 vette with 9600 miles and it has this same issue. Didnt even realize that it was something that would be covered under warranty (Its under warranty until November). It doesnt bother me, but if I can get it replaced why not eh?

Does it look like this? Mine did the same thing.

They replaced it with a switch like the one on the new Caddy STS (I don't have a pic of the new one in my Vette)

I guess my Vette is no longer stock and its Chevy's fault!

Atomicautostore and TKO performance have much better looking ones. BTW- I'm considering this same mod as I have the same issue.

No, your Vette has just been upgraded to 2008 standards (wrt your Start Button )
