I got some really good information last night on the Personal Audio Link (PAL) that will work with the Corvette Nav system.
The PAL should be out by September and have a list price of around $175-$200. I'm not yet sure of the hours for installation.
The PAL will install in the center console. Once you plug your iPod into the system, you will have full access to your music library right on the Nav screen and will be able to use the touch screen to pick playlists, genres, songs, etc.
This is a huge improvement over the jack that will be on the non-Nav cars where you will plug the player into the jack, but still need to manipulate the iPod to navigate through your music library.
Hopefully this unit will be out on time and the installation is not to big of a deal!
And about time. I wonder if it'll work like Firewire and charge the iPOD too?? If not you'll still have to power the iPOD off the accessory power port in the consol.
I hope they took the time to engineer this right and not half-assed.

I was told that it was only a Aux jack, but one of the reasons for putting it in the center console was so that you would be able to plug it into the power supply if you needed to.
Plugging into the "aux" or audio only port on the iPod does not jive with the ability to control it from the HU. If you can control it from the nav screen, then it must plug into the dock connector, and I would be REALLLLLLLLY surprised if it didn't charge too.

Good point! Maybe the person I was talking to was confused. There would be no way to control the iPod using the AUX jack. It must charge it as well.
