Basic C6 = "Rare" C6

So I was looking one more time at the Bowling Green statistics on the 2006 C6 production AVAILABLE RIGHT HERE, and it struck me; me intrinsic cheapness has resulted in me having a relatively rare '06 C6. I bought a convertible 2LT, and the ONLY option on it is R8C. The exterior is machine silver (1636 verts, or 14.7% of all verts) with the Cobalt Red interior (422 verts). But some of that red had to go into white cars, black cars, and even some red (overkill) cars. So a silver over red vert is going to be pretty rare.
But wait, there's more. 94.4% of 2006 convertibles were specified as 3LT cars and only 5.6% or 620 were base 2LT units like mine. More rarity
! And of all the verts, only 239 were equipped with the base silver painted wheels. And some of those had to be on 3LT's that were gonna get aftermarket wheels, or a chrome wheel exchange, or were just ordered by someone who wanted the 3LT package but not the blingier (or cloudier polished) wheels. Additional rarity
!And finally, how many cheapskates like me would have scrimped on the options and then sprung for R8C museum delivery?? Not many, I would wager.

Well, tolerant fellow CF members, I just wanted to document all of this on the CF so in future years when someone is searching the archives, I will have already deposited the provenance of my rare rare 2006 C6 here for all to find. Thanx for your support.
I have a black 1LT, base suspension, Power driver seat only, m6, black interior.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
NO nav, no bose, no HUD, no 3LT and certainly not 4KT, no fancy wheels, nothing else.
If I could I'd specify a fixed roof, AC delete, vinyl seats, and better aftermarket brakes like you can get on a Cadillac of all things.
So many vettes nowadays seem more like luxury cruisers than hard edged sports/performance cars. When I hear people say they just have to have 3LT I can't believe it and all the cowhide in the 4LT is liable to get the car picketed by some animal rights groups.
Simple is good. The other thing that makes a new vette rare today, at least judging from what I read on this and other forums, is being in totally stock condition. This business of 'let the mods begin' as soon as the car comes home and then keeping score like it's a contest ( I guess it is for some. ) does nothing but reduce the resale and collector value of the car.
Just recently someone asked for help removing the stock exhaust. One post said just to cut the old one off. Unless NCRS changes its tune in a major way all that stuff will someday be put back stock.
One more thing IMO. Manual trans sports/performance cars nearly always have higher to much higher resale than automatic cars.
Just my opinions of course. If you love mods on new vettes enjoy it as it is your car. However, the effect of mods on resale cannot be denied. Most buyers avoid them.

My guide at the museum was so used to loaded 3LTs that he did a double-take at the filler panel where the switches usually go on the left side of the instrument cluster. He had budgeted something like 40 minutes to go over the car, and we were done in about 10.
I have a '68 Camaro RS with almost every option which actually makes it a pretty rare car.
