My 06 LMB is loaded and certainly not rare. However, my 2000 C5 is Magnetic Red with the Torch Red interior, Oak top and mag wheels. How's that for rare!! It's a 6-speed, Z51 with all the options.

I bought a convertible 2LT, and the ONLY option on it is R8C. The exterior is machine silver (1636 verts, or 14.7% of all verts) with the Cobalt Red interior (422 verts). But some of that red had to go into white cars, black cars, and even some red (overkill) cars. So a silver over red vert is going to be pretty rare.

But wait, there's more. 94.4% of 2006 convertibles were specified as 3LT cars and only 5.6% or 620 were base 2LT units like mine. More rarity ! And of all the verts, only 239 were equipped with the base silver painted wheels. And some of those had to be on 3LT's that were gonna get aftermarket wheels, or a chrome wheel exchange, or were just ordered by someone who wanted the 3LT package but not the blingier (or cloudier polished) wheels. Additional rarity !

And finally, how many cheapskates like me would have scrimped on the options and then sprung for R8C museum delivery?? Not many, I would wager.

Well, tolerant fellow CF members, I just wanted to document all of this on the CF so in future years when someone is searching the archives, I will have already deposited the provenance of my rare rare 2006 C6 here for all to find. Thanx for your support.
Beautiful Vette..
