Looks good. I had to wear out two sets of front tires before I caught on...... Now I like mine just about as you have them set.
Dayem! That put a hickey in your wallet!
I figured I didn't race the car and it was just classy transportation and the tires needed to roll flat to keep the tires from scrubbing off. We'll see. This setting makes perfect sense to me to obtain maximum tire wear.
Hopefully the new specs will work better for you. I recently had help from a man I know setting-up my car for the track. When we setup the car using his home lift we noticed some minor, abnormal wear on one of my front tires. He recommended I have the car aligned and said the dealership actually does good alignment work.
I took my car to the dealership last week and had it aligned to the specs he suggested. My dealership has a special alignment 'team' that seemed to take pride in what they do. I like the computer printout showing the precise before and after alignment specs so you can verify they did it the way you want.
Hey, just want to verify that the [0.03] toe setting for the rear is positive on LR and negative on RR.
That's what's on the chart but it is actually for all intents and purposes a "0" for the rear toe. I asked for a 0 and that is as close as he could get with the settings. The "total toe" = 0

That's all Greek to me. Are you saying the alignment is not set properly at the factory? I have 11K on my '07 and the wear looks okay, but I haven't really looked at it closely. Is this something I should be concerned about?

From all I've read, it is best to check the alignment. IF IT IS PERFECT, then you will tend to wear out the inside edge of the tire before the middle or outer edge. One guy posted pictures of good tread middle and outside but cords showing on the inside edge. The camber is the culprit. The higher the camber the more it tries to ride on the inside of the tire. I wanted that down to -0.1 from the -0.45 that the factory setting calls for. The toe at 0.1 and the caster was fine as long as it was matched. My caster is 8.2 on both sides.

Just got back from my aligner and had them set the car.

Let's see if that wears the rubber off those tires in an even manner now.

Elmer, is that last set of numbers on toe for the LR and RR correct? I went to your GY place yesterday and the tech questioned the 0.03 positive toe for the LR and the -0.03 negative for the RR. He said they would just cancel each other out.
My request was for 0 rear toe. I let that go as he said it was as close as he could get the rear. I'm not experiencing any noticeably wear on the rear.

Sorry, I overlooked that post. BTW.. Tony, the manager at the GY store, has transferred to another store. They have a little round girl working the counter that isn't much help.

I don't think the little round girl told the guy who asked the exact store he transferred to. Just that he had transferred to another store in town. She would be able to tell you the store.

IF,,,,If their alignment machine and readouts ARE CALIBRATED and accurate.... many are not,, We did a small test a few years back and had a car aligned at 4 shops with "state of the art equipment". Sadly only 2 of the shops got the same numbers
Everyone with a new C6 should get the alignment checked.
Seems like pure luck if you have a good alignment from the factory. And it's not just GM vehicles... had bad alignment on a new Camry I bought years ago.
When new, the highway tracking improved a lot after I got my 09 aligned. Tires are wearing evenly 15k miles later. Probably get another year or so with the OEM supercar tires.
