Guys,
My friend just bought a red start-up button from Honda S2000, cut out the dash and made himself a new interesting mod and it works just fine. It came with a full wiring harness and diagram. I'm thinking the same thing, replacing ours boring, square, plasticy looking one with a more defined button from Infiniti, Lexus, or Honda. Has anyone tried it?
He had to start from zero, but since we already have a start-up switch there, our progress maybe much less complicate.
Most of us here are "probably" familiar with American products so I don't know how to explain it to you guys but, boy I tell ya, the button on new Lexus, Infiniti is awesome. With this mod, would your Vette be a step closer to European standard?

This wins the prize for the silliest mod! Vettes are great cars but unfortunately with a bad image, created IMO by their owners. Porsche, Ferrari, Aston owners do not mutilate their cars.

I'm gathering thoughts for the Vette so honest thoughts like one above is truely aprreciated.
Yes being around alot of different cars I can say our button isn't really that nice, but doesn't quite bug me enough to do a mod like this. So not something i'd do on my car, but definitely credit is deserved for that write up and effort...nice work!
OK how do we go into acc mode and off, also your missing the indicator light red/green
Are you going to have a second button to get into accessory mode? And an indicator light to show the state of the system? While the "Engine Start" button looks good, it will not replace all the functionality of our "ugly" button.
