Hey everyone when you run your car in the car wash are it rains do you get watter leaking in from the driver and passenger doors(and yes my windows were all the way up) It's only a lilttle bit but thats still to much. It seem to come from the top part bye the roof on both sides .So if this happens to you are you know how to fix it please help me out thank you
I've only taken my car through an automatic car wash once, and it was touch-free. I don't recall any leaking (I would have noticed), but the car has only been bucket/hand washed ever since.
I think it's part of the ten commandments or something, "Thou shalt not take Corvette to an automatic car wash".
Its a touch free with no rails so that should b fine right??? It nole a little drop or to but the car is brand new so any help????
I have never taken any Corvette I have owned through a car wash, aside I have seen at the factory the water test your car is put through and they put more water on your car in 3 minutes from more angles than any car wash can do in a hour and the factory will not allow ANY leaks
Dan
I never use an automated car wash....I wash the car myself. That said, when washing the car or in heavy rainfall it does not leak.
Are you sure your windows are indexing all the way up?

Do you know what indexing is? It sure sounds like that's your problem. Try looking it up in your manual and re-index them. See if that helps.
I would almost bet the windows aren't indexing properly... especially since it's on both sides. Highly unlikely both windows could be leaking unless the windows aren't indexing............
Raise the window and hold the up switch an extra 3 seconds. Release. Without lowering the window, hold the up switch again for 3 seconds. Release. Done.
This is called resetting of the window indexing or power window initialize and is in the owner's manual. See page 2-17 of the 2005 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2006 owner’s manual, page 87 of the 2007 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2008 owner’s manual.
