C6 Battery issues

....so, I guess that doesn't count. Can't compare to a C5 'cause never owned one. But compared to my C4, there is no comparison. I didn't need a battery tender which I now own and connect up with the '08.
Being fair, the C4 had nowhere close to the "electricals" on the '08. So, if all the " 'lectricals" are a step forward in car design and usage, then that is the price I have to pay.
I will say, however, to step forward and be required to have more "stuff" to keep the car going is not the best of all worlds in my opinion. It was explained to me (patiently, by someone who knows these things far better than I do, or ever will) that our current electrical systems are stretched beyond their capacity. Probably so.
And that they really need to be brought up to date and expanded to accommodate all that is going on in our cars vs. cars from even a few years ago. Again, maybe so.
But, so far, no car company manufacturer or battery manufacturer is willing to step up and say, "here's what you really need to keep these cars running." Finally, maybe so.
So, we have a possibly antiquated system running a today or "tomorrow" car.

It's still a Corvette, and better than that, it's MY Corvette.
Will a series 34 battery like the Sears Platinum battery fit?

One lesson I learned was to keep that key entry lock mechanism clean and lubricated. If you can't get your key in and turn that lock, then a bad day has definitely gotten worse.
But I blame the dealership for not honoring my wishes in putting in a new battery, when I initially picked up the car.
Though they assured me they did... Da Bastards.
Typical miscommunication between the sales team and the Prep/Tech Svc Team before pickup.
