"IF" I should ever need to have someone come and pick up the C6, can the average roolback load the car without incident? Does it have the clearance to do this?
Unfortunately my 07 C6 had to be towed the first week. (Broken shifter, dealer's contract tower loaded it with my help. It would be tough to do with just one tow operator so I recommend you stick around and help.
I had to back mine in neutral across a busy street and stop at the tow truck ramp. My son and tow driver pushed the Vette.
The operator was obviously experienced as he placed 2x6's at the base of the truck ramp till the back wheels were on the ramp. Then placed them behind the front wheels as the car was about halfway up the ramp to keep the air dam from dragging. The air dam did drag slightly, but no more than some driveways.
Possibly on a dead level street it would be easier, mine was on a hill with the truck down the hill from the Vette.
He also knew exactly where to place the tie down hooks. Obviously from being familiar with Vettes.

A flatbed will most likely need some boards to help transition the car onto the deck. They will utilize the oval frame slots with a Y cable with J or T hooks to winch the car up. They generally use the oval frame slots to secure the car as well...some augment this by lashing down a wheel or two as well.
My C5 was taken to the dealer on a rollback, and the tow driver didn't have any issues. Took about 5 minutes to get it on the truck and tie it down. The front end on the C5 is 5" longer and "scraps" much easier than the C6.
