Default installed custom camera mount

I just got finished with the custom camera mount. Got a cheap tripod from sears and did some mods to it to make it work. Came out great. Mounted down with four 1/16inch cables with turn buckles to make extra tight. WHat u think?

Looks great, but why do you need a camera in there for? Is this for the track?

Looks good! I run on a road course monthly and I've been wanting to shoot some video. A few weeks ago my oldest son went with me and held the camera (not the greatest but better than nothing). I won't have time to rig it up for today but I'll work on it for next month (I've got a couple different tripods that should work). I can't see why the track marshalls would object to that...it look secure enough. Thanks for posting the images...I'll bookmark your photos for reference.

Cool engineering job.

Let us know if the tracks OK this. I've been wanting some in-car footage, but didn't want to lay down the $$$ for a harness bar.

tracks should be ok with it, last AX a few people had custom camera mounts and they had no problem with it.
