Are you kidding. I did a search on Ebay for a 68 convertible and found the perfect complement to the new JSB coupe. Man, now if I had the money for both, that baby would be sitting in my garage right now stacked above the C6! What a beautiful car the C3 was and is. The first vette I ever remember seeing in my life was a C3. I'll never forget, I was riding in the back with dad and mom on a vacation to Colorado. I saw that thing and yelled. "Wow! Dad, what kind of car is that?" He said, "That's a Corvette son.". I said, "Let's get one of those!!". "That's a two seater son, how could we get you and your brother both into that thing and still have room for your sister?" From that day forward, I was hooked.
If you call waving "scoffing" then OK...I'll buy that! But of all the Vette owners out there, I've found that C3 and C4 owners are the worst at not returning my waves. We ARE one big happy Vette Family. No Scoffing allowed!
You know the C6 does take some styling cues from the C3. In particular, the way the fenders flow into the doors. Not quite the coke bottle, or sexy womans body shape of the C3, but definately reminiscant of it.
IMHO: The C6 reminded me of the Corvette that I originally fell in love with...A C3. I'm still partial to the Mako Shark but still, the C3 was my first Vette love.

I second that, I never get a wave back from any one besides the C5 or C6 drivers. C4 and C3 drivers always give you a blank stare. Maybe its the yellow??? LOL
Who's scoffing? Personally, I fell in love with Corvettes as a teenager in the 70s but it took until the C5s were out before I could afford to buy one. I now have a C6 and have an appreciation for ALL six generations of "America's Sports Car".
