I have to say, although these may work properly, they are the cheapest looking product I have seen for what you pay. They are probably worth 2 bucks each, at most. Hard plastic, small, and mfg'd to low standards (out of round). All this may not matter, of course, if they do what they are designed to do. I personally would not buy these again.
I like the idea of the hockey puck with an i-bolt better.
However, I just got these and have yet to try them. But I sure don't think they are worth the 7 bucks each that they charged. Not even close.
I had hockey pucks with eye bolts purchased from *bay and got rid of them as they never could hold on securely twisting the eyelets in those holes. I got those JP pads from Ecklers and now they fit very securely. I also like the urathane material better than the Elite metal pads.
That one says "C5" on it. Does it also work on a C6? J/K
I think you're making this a bigger deal than it is. I can reach under (just bending my knees) and remove the round BMW pucks, they don't screw in, they just pop straight in. I takes no more than about 10 seconds each. By leaving them there, I always have them and know where they are. I use them in place a lot more than having to worry about the rare instance I need a tow and when need be, can remove them at a moments notice.
There is a certain segement of CF members who come up with all sorts of reason why it is bad to leave them on. One very nice member was concerned they would come off and hit his car if he was behind me. Heck, I'll never take my car out of the highway because the same thing could happen with a recap or any other road debris that get's kicked up. If you like taking your pucks out that is cool but I don't buy the "it's dangerous leaving them in" argument.

A nice member just told me he wouldn't be caught behind of me because I had my pucks installed.
If you want the rectangle BMW pucks to be where they cannot come off simply pull on the pin and it will lock the puck into the slot.
I'm new at this stuff. How does the pucks go on and what is the eye bolt for?
I know it's not obvious looking at just a photo of the puck as is seen in most of this thread, but it's painfully obvious where they go/install once you have them in hand and are looking at the underside of the car.
The BMW ones are particularly easy to install they just snap in.

Get real. They are cheap, but there is nothing at a BMW dealer for $2. And if somebody put them in a set of four and wrote Corvette on the box, they would be $80 a set.

I think I paid in the neighborhood of $13.00 each (four ttl) - and had the pleasure of being "instantly gratified" as I popped 'em on right there in the BMW sales lot. Kinda cool driving a Vette onto the BMW lot, lots of looks.

I tried the round BMW pads and one fell out on it's own. The second one in the same slot suffered the same fate. I learned that lesson.
The rectangular ones are a better design but a PITA if you have to remove them. I gave up on both and got the Eckler's urethane pucks which work well.

I use the round BMW pucks and they have been in place for almost 2 years. I don't see how they can fall out on their own since it takes some force to pull them out. I paid about $6 each, a bargain compared to the prices I see floating around the forum.
You can jack this car up from ANY position with a decent jack and common sense.
You can waste your money though and I wont worry about it
I've had this car up in the air probably 10 times now and it has never been a concern of mine.
This car is easier to get into the air than my firebird ever was.
The only use I could see for this is if you were running a non-runflat and had a scissor jack to jack the car up to pull a tire for a repair. For normal maintenance and work with a good jack you dont need them.
