From: Muncie, Indiana ...... Can I buy an amplifier on time ... I ani't got no money now but I'll pay you before I die
If you want to reduce the amount of wind put the top up. I just don't understand why someone would buy a convertible if they don't like the wind in their hair.

Of course those who have purchased these screens will justify it by saying how great they work, but IMO they look silly like those flip-up sun shades some people put on their glasses

I love mine and i think it looks great. I didn't buy it to stop the wind in my hair, heck I hardly have any. I bought it to keep my wife happy. It cuts out about half the turbulence and helps with the wind blowing her hair all over the place. The secret is you get to drive with the top down more often when the wife's with you.

I never use the Vette Net when I am alone, but when wifey is with me it goes on. Gotta keep momma happy!
Some of us young vette owners still have hair and still want to look presentable at the end of the trip without having to wear a baseball cap. Somehow the baseball cap look just doesn't cut it when taking the wife out to dinner and a show.
Does the Vette Net really cut down the amount of wind and noise with the top down?
The GM one cuts down on the wind a lot. With the windows down it is great. With the windows up it makes cold weather and night time rides a possibility.
I've heard the vette net one is good too, but it's lower so less wind removal. Also I've heard it can block out your rear view a bit.
I have the GM wind deflector. It's better than the VetteNet because it has a connection to the power roof electrical circuit and it prevents the top from being raised with the deflector in place. You'd be surprised how many times I've tried to do that. Sheesh. :bb
It is most useful at speeds below 65 or so, so if you're going for a drive on country roads or just local roads it works well. It keeps a lot of the air that rushes into the cockpit from the back of the car from coming in, and it lets you hear your music better. If you want to wear a baseball hat, it'll keep it from blowing off. If you're going for a long ride at Turnpike speeds it's not effective.
To me it's more of a cool appearance thing, not so much the final answer to knotted hair. It gives your convertible a little extra niftiness, like painted calipers or cove screens or aftermarket wheels. The GM version has the word "Corvette" printed on the side that faces following traffic. You don't see that in the mirror.
I don't use it every time I put the roof down, but I use it fairly often.
You don't need it, but you'll be glad you got it if you do.

My wife won't have one, I guess she likes the aiiiir.
This solution is made for the C5 seats with the slot in the middle so the diverter can snap through it. If Gerado can come up with something for the C6 convertible, I'm in.
As for the comment, "if you don't want the wind in your hair don't drive a convertible" I suspect it's the guys with little or no hair making it. Those of us older guys with hair want to flaunt it and look presentable when we arrive.

If you're wearing a baseball cap and don't want it blown off your head by the wind, you need this... It also makes it easier to listen to/ enjoy music and have a conversation while driving...

How long does it take to install/remove? I'm guessing it has to be put on and taken off everytime the roof is put back up. I love the power roof. It's fast and I will put the top down at a light if the weather is nice. The net looks like it has to be bolted on.

Can someone who uses a screen comment here?
The vette net fits into two removable brackets.... Takes less than 5 minutes to install.
