Last night somebody keyed the side of my car from the front fender to the back of the car. Does anybody know if the panels need to be repainted, or can they touch up the key marks? Any idea of cost? Is the dealer the best place to bring the car? Price is not an issue
There's always seem to be some low-lifes out there that can't resist ruining someone else's things. Feel bad for you. I'm here in S. Calif too but the only place that I've seen what appears to be quality work is Corvette Specialty in Corona. I've only stopped by there once and didn't have any work done, so I can't state for the record. I'm sure other members here can let you know about them or other places.
depends on how deep they are if lightly it can be worked out if not hate to say painted there are alot of jealous people out there that see a nice car and want to ruin your day My vette was three days old and I had a flame job on mine it all buffed out thank goodness hope everthing works out for you

They come from dysfunctional homes
I tend to believe people that damage the property of others would tend to come from a broken home or dysfunctional family. Either one or both of the parents are probably drunken bums or prostitutes and they present no hope for the perpetrator(s) to attain the ability to become an owner of the property they damage.
Sorry to hear that. It happened to me a few years ago to my other car. If not too deep there's a chance it can fixed w/o painting the car. Mine was to deep and cost me 1750.00 to paint the car. Good luck.
I'm sorry about the damage to your car. Needless to say anyone vandalizing someone else's property is mentally defective and should be prosecuted.
As mentioned, if the scratches are deep you will likely need to repaint the damaged sections.
Surprisingly, some dealership body shops do excellent work...the roof panel on my C6 was painted perfectly and the dealership did a great job on a previous Suburban I owned.
Besides asking other Corvette owner's in your area, you might look to body shops specializing in high end, exotics. There's one particular shop where I live that works on mostly high end cars. They are more expensive but the quality of their work is unsurpassed.
I know your pain, my previous 2006 was vandalized about 18 months ago, the pain and rage of seeing the $%^&%$% vandalism done to your Vette is unbelievable.
In hindsight, I think most of us are very lucky not catching someone in the act, because the rage would make us do something we would later regret.
By the way, I took it to my dealer, and three days later it looked like new. Yours will too!
