Default Narrow body

Okay, this is just something I was thinking about and wanted to see what others thought about it. I love the way my "base" C6 looks and wonder if there was anyone out there like me who prefers the narrow body over the Z06 styling? The base C6 styling seems to be what the designers intended the C6 to look like and the Z06 styling was an after thought. Don't get me wrong I am not saying the Z06 wide body is ugly by any means, I actually like it a lot but would not convert my car to a wide body as I prefer the styling of the Base a little more.

I also should say that I am a gear head and would certainly take a Z06 over my Base due to the upgraded performance but not soley on the styling alone. The enitre package is what makes the Z06 appealing to me.

Am I the only odd ball here?

I really like the styling of the Z06. The performance is great but it is the styling that attracts me to the car.

I like the Z06 styling much better. I think it's the more aggressive stance.

I'm happy with the appearance of the base c6. Wide enough as it is.

Less is more! I prefer the clean lines and look of the Base C6 Coupe. The Z06 certainly has the grunt and the technology to pecolate my hormones, but I don't like the nose-scoop and the rear side-scoops look proportionately small. And I'm not attracted by the price!

I’m very pleased with the appearance of the C6. I think both the C6 and the Z06 are beautiful cars. I have no inferiority complex with my C6. It's not wrong if you do but I don't have any desire or feel any compelling need to ‘dress up’ my C6 look like something it isn't. In my mind the C6 is every bit as beautiful as the Z06, if not more so. I’m content with and self-assured about the beauty of the C6.

I like both for what they are. The Z06 looks badass. The coupe & vert looks sleek & stylin'

I don't think you are the odd ball out here, I don't particulally like the C6 Z06 styling either-it too looks to me as more of an afterthought. I noticed that with Corvettes, trying to improve on or extend the styling ends up looking like a tacked on affair to me-but to each his own. I would love to have the LS7 motor!

I really like them all and I can't see changing them to be something they are not. There are some really fine looking C6's on here that would not be enhanced by any kind of a widebody kit IMO.

Z06 is better looking....

I wish GM offered a factory "Wide Fender and Fat Tires" package for the base vette, I'd buy it just for the looks...

but...

I agree that even though its "narrow", I do like the looks of the base...

Well put. Both cars are beautiful in and of themselves, be they narrow or wide bodied.

I had a DSOM 2005 coupe. Beautiful color, beautiful car. One of the most visually stunning cars I have ever owned.

No way I would have hacked that car up into a "wide booty" or "wide body" Z06 look alike, and wound up with 2 different shades of paint on it trying.

If I had that car right now, alongside of my Z06, I'd be hard pressed to tell you which one was the more visually appealing to me.

Love the looks of my Z06 over the base C6, nose scoop, side scoops and all. Sorry.

...did I mention the power and handling that goes along with it? Love that too.
