Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome the long anticipated appearance of the mysterious "BUTTON" Berry1 was the original poster with the button, I'm just the picture poster since the other thread got locked.
Looks to me like an interior motion sensor disable button.

The guys who design the graphics for these buttons and dash LEDs certainly use their imaginations. I can't figure out the function these graphics are supposed represent (except the most obvious). I wish there were a better system to alert me to what is going on with these buttons and functions. Not just the Corvette, but all the modern vehicles. It is disconcerting for a warning light to appear on your dash and you have no idea what it means.
The OP photograph of this button - looks like a man trying to enter the car feet-first (what is that all about?).
Very interesting. I've never seen that button before. It appears, based on it's location that it is there to disable the fob emergency slot or perhaps the start button all together. The way I view the graphic is it has the slash through it so the universal "no" symbol. The lines radiating down and away from the roof look like a signal transmission of some sort. Putting it together I see a button to turn off a transmitter or receiver of some sort. Just not sure what purpose. Anti-theft?

If you didn't already know it, talon90 is one of the "top" CF members with great knowledge about these cars. I'm sure this will wear on him until he finds out exactly what it does for ya.
On a lighter side, it looks like it could be " if you are too tall and your head sticks out of the top, push this button" button.
Thanks for finally posting a pic about the "mystery" button. The old thread was getting crazy.
Pay attention, Bond.... I posted the answer in the locked thread, but here it is again.
As described in the Euro Spec manual (which sadly doesn't seem to exist in PDF format) this button disables the alarm's "Intrusion Sensor" (not sure if it's ultrasonic or infrared) so that you can lock the car with the roof off or someone inside without the alarm triggering. What you need to do is hold the button in when you shut the engine off. Instead of the "Intrusion Sensor On" message you normally get on the DIC you'll see "Intrusion Sensor Off".
It's one of several differences in Euro Spec security, one of the others being that you can deadlock the doors by hitting the lock button on the fob twice within 5 seconds (being careful to time it just right to avoid the embarassing "look at me" of the horn sounding.... )

Perhaps some sort of manual you could read. Something that would come with the vehicle perhaps.

With all due respect....that's why you have an owner's manual.
