Default Zr1 Conversion

Is this all that is different about the ZR1 body? Raised hood with window, front splitter, rocker extension, dual port fenders.

You missed the full width rear spoiler and the carbon fiber roof panel and b pillar but as far as the body goes yes. It also has different wheels in 19" and 20" as well as the carbon ceramic brakes.

No it does not. It is the same construction as the Z06 with a fixed panel but it is carbon fiber.

All it would take is money. Someone like Jersey at Apsis could do it I'm sure.

The car will not be in production until August. No, the parts are not available and it will be difficult to get the parts for the first year. They are only making a limited number of these and the part supplier will be focused on the production requirements and not on the service parts supply chain.

dont you think they will be making some extras for the people who wreck their cars at least? there have got to be more parts than just what is going on the original vehicles

Yes I do and much like the 4LT interior panels I suspect that they will require a VIN number to purchase. Of course there will be more panels but it will be (in my opinion) dozens of sets, not hundreds, not thousands. The carbon fiber panels will be difficult to produce and will take time to get the service parts pipeline filled up just like it did with the 4LT leather.

Here's a link I saved to the Motortrend information about the ZR1. This page is just the drive train and chassis details of the ZR1. There are other pages providing more info on the ZR1...click on the page links.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...e_details.html

The ZR1 is an awesome car but it still doesn't make me want one. For what the dealerships will undoubtedly be charging for one I could come up with a modded C6/C6 Z06 I'd be happier with. Still a cool car though.
