Same here. Of course, it is the only car I have ever wanted since my childhood, so nothing anyone could say would bother me too much. Ever since I was a kid, I just naturally assumed that anyone who had an intelligent thought about cars also thought a Vette was the absolute coolest car in existence, and, if given the choice, would opt for one too. Yeah, I'm still thinking that way.
LOL ... I love the way you look at it I couldn't agree more
was at a friends birthday party tonight, and of course the topic on hand was cars. the whole time i was defending the corvette and all american cars for that matter...i mean the LS3 is a beast but it feels like the only respect given to these cars is for the Zo6. i got alot of
"lifes to sort to be ridin a chevy" and "yea if my car was all fiberglass it would do 0-60 that fast too"
anyone else see this?
Just goes to show that pedophiles can be car snobs too.
I researched the car I wanted and made an educated decision to get a Vette. I really don't care if anyone else (educated or otherwise) doesn't like it.
someone drives a bad chevy car > chevy makes bad cars > corvette is made by chevy > corvette is a bad car.
it might be easier if I put it this way; "GT-R? it's just a Nissan..." nail that stands out gets hammered.
had a chance to drive a brand new 08 cobalt with only 55 miles when I got it for 3~4 days while my car was in shop. I put about 400~500 miles on it and I wouldn't be surprised if someone can't acknowledge corvette's performance because it's made by chevy.
it only takes 1 poorly designed/made car to bring down the entire brand's cars with it.
