Default c6 exhaust

I have a 2007 c6 paddle shift. I have been told that aftermarket exhaust (cat back) is different for paddle shift as the tranny is different. Any one heard of this?? I am looking for the least expensive way to add a deeper sound over the stock exhaust. Everything I see is over a grand. Any suggestion?? Thanks

There are exhausts out there that are less than a thousand bucks. I don’t have any actual experience with any of the less expensive ones. I have Corsa Xtremes on my A6.

I will suggest that you go with an X-pipe also. With the A6, this will smooth out the popping and burbling that will increase with most aftermarket systems. But the X-pipe will probably throw you over the thousand dollar mark with whatever exhaust you decide on.
