Last night my father left us. He fortunately didn't have a prolonged final days. He is the one responsible for my "Corvette Fever". He bought me a '64 as a bribe to stay in school. My profile will show you I have paid him back. I still have the '64 that I am restoring and will be one of my lasting remembrances of him. Thank you for the "therapy".
You're welcome and we share your sorrow. He did at least two great things: he kept you in school thru motivation, and he brought you to the Vette community. I'd guess in so many other ways, he inspired you. What a testimonial.
Our thoughts are with you. (from a former RB resident)
Dave,
You have my condolences. I know you have many fond memories of your dad and you will think of them daily. I lost my dad almost 10 years ago and it seems like yesterday. Congrats to you on restoring your '64 which will bring you many days of enjoyment and be a lasting source of inspiration, just as it was when you were in school.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My dad's been gone for 4 years and I so wish that I could have taken him a ride in my car. He would have loved it.
My condolences...it's rough when you lose your parent(s). My thoughts and prayers go out to you, your family and friends. He sounds like a wise man providing you with the incentive to stay in school. Your project is a fitting tribute to his memory.
I lost my Father about 4 years ago...I miss him. We were able to share much together but I often think how he would have enjoyed the C6.
Post pictures of your restoration project along the way. Again, my sympathies.
Dave, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my father 8 years ago and I think of him every day. Your dad was a great influence on you and he will always be with you in spirit. I hope time will lessen your pain.
It sounds like you had a wonderful relationship....something few have..
Both of my parents passed, just as I was starting to make the $$$ to treat them like they deserved... The memories are what helps me stay sane.. Enjoy them!!
