Took delivery in April and received a call last week. She asked if I han any problems or concerns, I told her that other than the orange peel that I love the car. She then gave the BG wedsite.
I received a call from the factory after I purchased my '08 in June. I did not pick up the call because I didn't recognize the number. He left a message. I kick myself for not answering the phone that day.
I also got a call today but I don't think it was from Bowling Green. It was a call for the service survey that I just filled out. They left me a message with some reference # to call back.
I got 5 calls total within the first 30 days of taking delivery on my 08'.
One from the dealership Sales Manager (my contact)
One from their PR person
One from a factory PR person
One from a Chevrolet Engineer
One from a Factory Engineer (who had specific questions related to specific fit and finish).
Was greatly impressed. But the wife recently purchased a Saturn Vue Redline and she received 3 calls on that as well (to bad they may be going out of business....according to World News and Report).
I got my call about month after buying mine in June - no return number - but did use the website - and got some answers and eventually a call on the clear coat paint problems.
They do try.
I thought the factory was down this month.
Last week I received a voice mail at work from somebody who said they were calling from the Corvette factory in Bowling Green. They wanted to answer any questions I had on my car and give me the website of the factory where I can contact them if I had any questions. I thought this was a machine generated call but still thought it was a nice touch. Well, today at work I get a call again from the same person. A live person. The only question I had was to get the actual build date of my car. She said she would do it and within about 2 hours it was emailed to me. I asked her if they call all 30K + owners and try to make personal contact and she said they try. I thought that was quite a nice touch...
I have never got a "thank you" call!!!!! I'm jealous. I've purchased a new 2009,2008,2007,2006,2005,2004,2003 etc, etc and nobody has ever called to thank me. I guess by now they figured out, why call him he keeps buying a new one every year anyway.
On a another note, since I have one of the 09's with the snap crackle & pop top. I have been getting calls on assisting me with fixes and so far their working...... Next time one of you guys get a call tell them to call Alvin!!!
I can't resist this, sorry. They may think I am telling them to call a chipmonk.

Your such a good customer they don't have to. Or if you lease perhaps they don't call
All with caller ID and/or screening devices may not get the call. But not because it wasn't made. Some junk looking calls are not. Maybe your kids or wife ignored the call. Hard to believe the factory would bust their chops for one buyer and ignore another. Makes no sense. Our first new Corvette 9-06 and we got the call.
