I received a call from the factory. It shows as private number on your cell phone. My vette is 6 weeks old.
They asked me how the car is. I made a few sugestions for furture models. I mentioned that they should put the Cadillac navigation system in the vette.
Not only did I do the NCM Delivery, I bought the Buyers Tour and paid them the additional $350 for the privilege. You would think an outreach would have been done with all buyer's tour owners at the very least. I thoroughly enjoyed the Buyer's Tour, and would do it again. It was a lot of fun to watch my car go through most of the production steps and got to start my car and then was in it as they ran through the dyno testing.
It it a good idea though and hopefully they will keep up the program and reach as many owners as they can - they certainly need all of the "warm & fuzzies" they can get. Now if GM would only pull their heads outta their azzes and let the owners get what they really want, or omit those items they don't.
I saw the recent posts about that new package where they put the HUD in a 1LT and threw on a few other cosmetic changes with the Z51 & NPP options to make a rally car. Nice move with the HUD...too bad I couldn't get in in my 2LT. I refused the 3LT because of the power top that would've been forced down my throat. I keep my cars a long time and didn't want to deal with repairing a power top when it eventually broke down. GM could've had a few $K more from my wallet had they let me have the 3LT w/o the power top - like they once used to do. Hell, it is now forced on you in the 2LT. As it stands now, I couldn't re-order and get my built the way it is now based on what they've done. But I digress from the main point of this post...
Good move by the plant if it is a formal program - let's hope that GM regains it's footing and continues to improve and build the car we all love; while giving us more choice as we give them $45+ (or a lot more!) for our fantastic cars!

Received a call a month or so after I took delivery. I wasn't home so the answering machine recorded it. Call me crazy but this is one call I am saving. Pretty nice touch I thought. My wife said" you spent over $50,000 dollars on that car they should have come out to the house in person and asked you if you liked it!!!! I'm not sure but I think the wife is jealous of my love for my little Vette. (tongue applied deeply into my cheek)
Got plenty from XM the first 3 weeks trying to get me to renew. Told them I hadn't even listened to it yet, maybe they should call back in 3 months. They never did.
