I recall one man that had an engine problem with his built LPE motor while tracking his car. I don't remember the details or the length of time he had the motor before the problem developed but it can happen...anything mechanical can break. I imagine Callaway has an occasional hiccup as well.
I'd be willing to bet their batting averages are pretty good though...Lingenfelter and Callaway didn't get their legendary reputations for nothing.
I believe LPE provides a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty with their fully built engines. This is a testament to the quality of their work. There may be warranty exceptions if you track your car (even the Pratt & Miller C6.RS has such provisions). I'd inquire directly about warranty information.
FWIW my fully built LPE 403 motor has great for over 2 years now including regular track use. I'm a very satisfied LPE/21st Century Muscle Cars customer.
