Default OK, do you do the "wave" when....

....you see a Corvette on the road, but you are in your daily driver, that's NOT a 'Vette?

I admit it, I do when I'm in my Ford Escape, lol. But, I'll point at the persons Corvette and then wave, and most people understand that I am a fellow 'Vette owner, smile and wave back. Then again, some must think I'm nuts!

Just curious, does anybody else do the wave in their non-'Vette daily drivers?

I usually give Vettes a when I'm driving in my DD (which at this point is my LT1 Camaro).

Once my C6 finally arrives I can do the wave.

Funny story: When I was test driving an LS3 a few weeks back I came to an intersection and met up with a C5. He waved at me and I tried to get my wave off quickly, albeit a little late ... I was sort of caught off-guard, this being the first time a Vette had ever waved to ME! I was a little distracted and just generally anxious about driving the LS3 with 8 miles on it, so I accidentally started to pull through the intersection before my turn. The guy to my right stopped and sort of rolled his eyes and waved me through. I felt like a dolt! Anyway, that was my first Vette wave experience. Next time I'll be ready and next time I won't snake someone else's turn at the intersection

I do and get very few waves back. Every now and then they wave... But even in the vet I'd say it's 50/50 I get a return wave.

On a side note it used to be when I was on my motorcycle (non-Harley) and waved to Harleys I would seldom get a wave back, seems like I'm getting many more return waves lately, I wonder why...

I am so used to waving at Vettes and motorcycles, I find myself waving at Vettes when I am on my bike, and waving at bikes when I am in my Vette.

No.

But, I want to instinctively. I think, they would not put 2 and 2 together in what, 3 seconds, and realize that I'm a Vette owner too since I'm not driving it, so I don't even bother.

Heck, half the time when I wave at another Corvette I get nothing back anyway and I know they see me!!!!!

Off the subject a little, I sometimes get waves from Harleys and Mustangs. I wave back because I figure they like and respect nice cars like the Vette. There's nothing wrong with that...we need more love like that on the road!

No, you're not a dolt. That would be me, starting to pull through the intersection too early because I got my first Vette wave.

Yeah, I think it's just a noun. Pretty sure I picked it up for my childhood days of watching Monty Python (it's a British term).

Yeah, I always wave at Harley's, and they wave back about 90% of the time. I think it's a gesture to say "hey, from one American icon to another."

Depends on the situation...

Yesterday when driving home from work I was stopped at a red light next to a sweet black 64 (i think) so I gave him a thumbs up and he shot back a wave. (I was in my jeep)
