I know that I will probably get alot of flack over this but I don't wave....period....I just don't get it....I've owned 3 vettes and more than my share of harleys . It seems a little pompous to me. Just because you have a vette or a harley doesn't mean we have anything in common....Just the way I feel....

I guess it's just because they are both American icons, that is the connecting factor right there. And waving to another 'Vette or Harley owner just is a way of showing your mutual respect and passion for the car or bike you both own.
With so many a$$holes on the road doing mean things to other drivers like flippin' them the middle finger, a little wave goes a long way for me.

You don't even have an appreciation for Corvettes or Harleys in common? It seems a little silly not to acknowledge another fellow enthusiast.
So you don't wave (or gesture) to any other motorcycle riders?
I generally do wave when I am driving my DD Dodge Durango, but most of the time I don't get a response. Sometimes I forget what I am driving when I am driving my 350Z and I wave at Corvettes. They sometimes wave back, but they look sort of puzzled when they do.
I do and get very few waves back. Every now and then they wave... But even in the vet I'd say it's 50/50 I get a return wave.
On a side note it used to be when I was on my motorcycle (non-Harley) and waved to Harleys I would seldom get a wave back, seems like I'm getting many more return waves lately, I wonder why...
Like I said before, there is so much hate and evil in this world, something simple like waving to a fellow 'Vette owner makes me feel better. Does it make me a better person or a saint? No, of course not. But at least I feel like a better person for it.
Call me crazy, but I believe in the little things to make this world a better place to live in.
