Some early 2007's had the DBS issue - it wasn't resolved until December, 2006 - well into the 2007 run. That doesn't mean DBS is the problem here, but it can't hurt to check his VIN to see if it's in the affected range.
As for DBS itself, I reject the notion that leaving a car sitting for 7 days should cause the battery to totally discharge. That's . If the Vette is so damn sensitive that it has to be put on life support after a few days, there is something very wrong. And, there is no reason to tolerate that kind of idiotic engineering just because it's a "Vette."
I monitored the voltage with a digital meter for several weeks and I figured the car could sit for about 4 weeks without the battery needing charging. I often leave my 07 parked for 7 days and so far, no problem. Mine is a March 07 build.
I wouldn't assume you have the so-called DBS. Have your battery checked and replaced if necessary. Batteries are maintenance items that need replacement periodically. I wouldn't worry about battery tenders or priority starters at this point. Have the dealership perform the 're-flash' the next time you're there.
If you're still worried when you leave town for an extended period, just disconnect the battery terminal while you're gone.
I've let my 2005 MN6 (the one's supposedly notorious for DBS) sit on many occasions for periods in excess of 2 weeks...no battery tender...no priority start and never a problem. After 3 years of problem free use, I did recently replace my original OEM battery. They do wear out.

Is there a service bulletin you can cite for this? My '07 A6 was built in early Aug '06. This is the first I've heard of DBS in anything but the '05 model year.

DBS was almost exclusively '05 MN6, with very few early '06's included that had battery drainings from different causes than the '05's. No '07's were ever affected by DBS. DBS is not a catch-all phrase, but that doesn't mean an '07 couldn't have all sorts of other reasons for a sudden battery drainage.
